- Which specialised fields is Altran looking for?
We are looking for technical college/university graduates (male/female) und professionals (male/female) in the fields of business studies, electrical engineering, power engineering, automotive engineering, IT, aeronautics, mechanical engineering, mathematics, mechatronics, medical engineering, telecommunications engineering, physics, computer engineering, business information technology, business engineering or a natural science or similar study course.
- What does Altran expect from an applicant?
A successfully completed technical college or university degree is conditional for employment with us as Consultant. Practical experience which has been gained during studies is a big plus. Fluent German and English are a must. Just as important for us are the soft skills of our consultants such as learning and communication skills, flexibility and team spirit. We are looking for staff members who bring with them technological curiosity and openness for new topics, who think in interdisciplinary terms and know how to apply their knowledge innovatively.
- Can I apply with a bachelor/master/co-op university degree?
Yes. Every application is examined personally by our recruiting staff.
- What kind of application do you prefer?

- Which documents should be sent with the application?
Please send us a comprehensive, up-to-date CV in tabular form, a letter describing what motivated you to want to work for Altran and all relevant references and certificates.
- How does the application process at Altran work?
You will find information on the application process here. There the individual stages are explained in detail.
- Will you reimburse my travel costs for an interview?
Travel costs for your interviews in Germany will be reimbursed.
- Is an internship position possible outside Germany? Where should I apply for a position abroad? How much time should I plan for when I come?
If you are interested in an internship abroad with Altran, please apply directly at one of our companies in the particular country at www.altran.com. You should plan for at least six months time for an internship with us.
- Can I write my thesis at your company?
In individual cases we also offer thesis work. Have a regular look for this on our website: www.altran.de/jobs.
- How much should I be willing to travel as a Consultant?
We cannot guarantee that your project will be located in your "home town". You must therefore be willing to do a certain amount of travelling. The work location for applicants from Germany is the German area. It is, however, possible to name a local preference.
- How long does a project take on average?
Our projects are based on the medium to long term. On average the projects last between 6 and 18 months.
- What are the chances of further training in your company?
As a Consultant our staff go through up to five career stages, depending on their working experience. Parallel to this you can take on an internal position and adopt various functions, e.g. Team Manager, Trainer or Mentor. As Business Manager you can, for instance, rise to Industry Director, with coaching responsibility for a Junior Business Manager. Furthermore, as Business Manager you may be promoted to Key Account Manager or Global Account Manager. Our staff are encouraged via the extensive offers of further training at the Altran Academy. Technical, method and soft skills training programmes are offered here.
- What are you specially interested in during discussions with graduates?
In interviews the graduates should let their interviewer know their motivation for wanting to acquire the position they are trying to get. Show your skills and your interests in starting a career. As applicant, make it clear why we should decide on you and remain credible in this.
- Do you also employ the services of freelance personnel?
In filling a position we aim for a permanent staff member. But we also consider applications from freelance persons, since the occasional possibility of cooperation does arise.
