At the 9th engineering forum, company owners, industrial contractors, government representatives and engineering firms exchanged views on "Energy challenges and global issues: a shared vision for future solutions"
Jean-François Cirelli, the Vice Chairmen of GDF Suez, Thierry Pilenko, the CEO of Technip and ministry officials presented their views and strategic outlook on the key challenges facing the energy-production industry today.

Companies exhibiting greeted 1,500 students and young graduates.
Eight round-table conferences were held. Thierry Voisin participated in the conference on work package contracting, and the engineering project to preserve the maritime landscape of Mont Saint Michel was awarded the Engineering Grand Prix.
The engineering sector accounts for 210,000 jobs and EUR35bn sales in France and 3.5 million jobs and EUR230bn sales, worldwide.
