International Energy Agency (IEA)

publishes Altran study on risk management for large projects involving renewable energies. By order of IEA, the innovation, technology and IT consultant Altran has developed a strategy for specific control of the risks inherent to projects in the field of renewable energies.

Firstly, the study classifies the risks of “traditional” energy forms, deriving from this the risks resulting from individual renewable energies, and finally it provides direction as to how to control them.

Matters such as how individual risks are to be assessed and which methodological approach is particularly suited to maintain an overview of the numerous individual risks are presented in the final report  “Risk Quantification and Risk Management in Renewable Energy Projects“.
